Who We Are

Mentoring Young Minds is a youth-focused nonprofit led by experienced educators and leaders with more than 20 years of expertise. We provide mentoring, enrichment, and wellness programming in partnership with schools and community organizations across Cincinnati.

Our mission is to support and inspire youth through mentorship, enrichment, and leadership development, helping children build confidence and reach their full potential.

What We Do

Mentoring Young Minds provides year-round mentoring and enrichment through the I Believe in Myself Program, an evidence-based youth development initiative created by its founder. Students engage in structured mentoring, academic enrichment, wellness activities, and team-based experiences that build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and support positive decision-making.

2026 News & Updates

May 2026: MYM Awarded Competitive Boots on the Ground Grant

Mentoring Young Minds is proud to announce that we have been awarded this highly competitive grant for $20,000 through the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the City of Cincinnati. This investment will help expand and strengthen our I Believe in Myself program, which provides year-round mentoring, leadership development, academic enrichment, and wellness programming for youth throughout Greater Cincinnati.

We are grateful to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the City of Cincinnati for their support and for recognizing the importance of our community-based youth development program and investing in organizations that are creating positive change in our neighborhoods.

Spring 2026: MYM Expands Programming with Additional Partnerships

Mentoring Young Minds is excited to announce new partnerships with community organizations and local schools that will significantly expand our reach in 2026, bringing the I Believe in Myself Program to even more Cincinnati youth through summer and after-school programming for years to come.

Spring 2026: MYM Earns Candid Silver Seal of Transparency

Mentoring Young Minds is proud to announce it has earned the 2026 Candid Silver Seal of Transparency, recognizing our commitment to openness and accountability. The Silver Seal is awarded to nonprofits that meet Candid's standards for sharing organizational information with the public and potential funders.

A Candid (formerly GuideStar) Seal of Transparency is a prestigious rating system. To achieve the Silver Seal, organizations go above and beyond the baseline requirements of the Bronze Seal to explicitly share:
